Buccaneers of the Bollin Taster Session

A chance for 8-13 year olds to find out about the exciting new show from Bollington Festival Music Theatre for this year’s Bollington Festival.

In Victorian times, one group of children worked as “leggers” leading the horses that pulled the canal boats laden with coal and cotton to feed Bollington’s mills.

When they hear an “iron horse” that gallops and breathes out steam threatens their jobs and way of life, desperate measures are called for. They become those infamous pirates, The Buccaneers of the Bollin, whose story can now be told.

If you’re 8-13, this is your chance to see what it’s all about join in. Sunday afternoon rehearsals (2-4 most weeks) until the show on May 26th.

Sunday February 10, 1pm – 3pm with a brief meeting with parents at 2.45pm – FREE SESSION
