Fresh from her success as finalist in BBC’s Young Jazz Musician of the Year, Alex teams up with John who, though he wouldn’t qualify for the ‘Young’ part, would certainly be a finalist in most people’s Jazz Musician of the Year.
Although there are a good many years between them, anybody who has seen them will appreciate just how well they play together, proving that age is no barrier when it comes to playing music.
Behind them is Bollington’s favourite pianist and his Bears who have delighted us on many occasions, both as a trio and backing others. They also recorded a CD at Bollington Arts Centre.
