Tom Poster needs no introduction to Bollington. He first came in 2015 with Laura van der Heijden (cello) fresh from her triumph as BBC Young Musician.
He is joined this season by the Scottish Maxwell Quartet, four close friends who have known each other from student days and share a commitment to the promotion of the string quartet repertoire and of folk music, which they see as being at the root of classical music. Their performances aim to bring together the two in a free and unique way.
