Scene Differently is an exhibition by two artists and is based on local landscapes but seen differently through the eyes of a landscape painter, Stuart Mollison and a photographer, Lynne McPeake.

The Peak District and Cheshire with its varied and often dramatic landscape, climate, light and changes of season provide a fascination and inspiration for Stuart Mollison’s work.

Using acrylics and mixed media he attempts to express the essence of what he sees and feels. The work is as much an emotional response rather than strictly representational.

There is a similarity of elements with Lynne McPeak’s photographs although produced independently in the same general locations. As with Stuart’s landscapes, Lynne’s photographs are an impressionistic response to a location, not a straight representation and as such evoke an atmospheric moment in time.

Images are captured in-camera using intentional camera movement (ICM) and multiple exposure (ME) techniques.
The exhibition runs from 22 February 2026 until 22 March 2026
Opening times 2-4pm Sundays and during other events
